YANGON, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized over 2.5 million stimulant tablets in southern Myanmar's Bago region, the state-run daily The Mirror reported on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police inspected a 22-wheeler vehicle in Waw township in Bago on March 10 and confiscated the drugs from the vehicle, the report said.
The seized narcotics have an estimated value of over 3.7 billion kyats (about 1.761 million U.S. dollars) on the black market, it said.
Three suspects involved in the case have been charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it added. ■
