6 killed, 7 injured in car accident in central Myanmar

YANGON, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and seven others injured in a car accident in central Myanmar's Mandalay region, an official from a local rescue organization told Xinhua on Sunday.

The accident took place in Sintgaing township of Mandalay region on Saturday, he said.

The cause of the accident was that the car drove on a wrong street, reversed, and rolled over, he added.

Three people died at the scene, with three others declared dead in a hospital, he said.

The bodies and the injured were taken to local and Mandalay General hospitals, he added. ■
